A rare creature that is said to roam most forests. The top part of the creature resembles the torso of an elf, with fair flesh, long hair, bright eyes, and pointed ears. A long horn protrudes from the forehead of the elfish half. The bottom and read half of the unitar is that of a lean horse. The two front legs posses long curved spurs just above the hooves. The hind hooves are cloven, and their tails are lion like.
There are two types of the unitar. The first is an almost pure white. It is said that to see the pure white unitar brings great luck to the one who sees it. The second type of unitar is pure black. To see the black unitar is said to bring horrible luck and certain death to those that see it.
The males have a male elf have and male horse half. The females have a female elf half and a female horse half.
Unitar roam most forests, protecting them from those that wish to harm their homes.
Unitar are solitary. They do not enjoy the company of others, but will help an innocent if they are in need. They will hunt and chase any threat from their forest if they deem it a threat.
They are amazingly fast runners, and have the option of spearing their opponents with the powerful horn atop their forehead, or to rip him to peaces with the spurs on it's front hooves.
The unitar have no known weakness other than it is mortal. They do not like wasteland, and tend to become very uncomfortable when outside of their forest.
The unitar can speak to the forest it protects. With this ability they can learn from the trees when a traveler enters miles away. They can speak elvish, and common if they have taken the time to learn them.
Unitar can live for nearly 500 years.
