Dracador are the dragons of Aztersil. They come in many shapes and sizes, colours and personalities. They are all flightless. It is said that thousands of years ago, the dragons traded their great wings for their blood to become poisonous. Most dracador have several long spines that poke from their sides that have membrane between each spine to allow for gliding abilities. These instruments of gliding can be folded up against their sides, and can retract under folds of skin out of sight. Most dracador have scales, though it is very common for them to appear canine like and have fur.
The dracador roam nearly every part of Aztersil. They can be found in the swamps, forests, wastelands, snowy areas, and even in the oceans. Every dracador has some adaptation to its body that shows what climate or area it is most likely from or living in. IE: Dracador that live in forests have scales colored to help them blend into the forests. Dracador that live in the oceans have gills and fins.
They are solitary creatures, and do not look kindly on being disturbed from their musings or peace by some foolish human or elf who wants to make a name for himself by slaying a dracador. Mostly they frown upon the annoying governments of the races, and distance themselves from large crowds and towns.
Their strength lies in their mind. For it is said that all dracador have a silver tongue. They enjoy speaking to those that have a good mind, but can also talk their way out of getting killed with ease. Most of the dracador strengths are unique to each dracador.
Most of the dracador weaknesses are unique to each dracador. They are also rather vein when it comes to their knowledge. They can be insulted easily, which normally ends up in killing and devouring of whomever they were talking to.
It is said that some dracador have breath of the elements, but this is unproven. Mostly because those who have seen it do not live long enough to tell the tale. A single drop of dracador blood upon the flesh of any living thing will kill them instantly. Dracador can speak any language so long as they take the time to learn.
Each dracador has a different life span. Most dracador can live for several hundred years unless slain.
