A scerg created beast. When the scergs kill their victims, it is commonly done to those that fought the strongest, to be summoned back into this form. Those murdered by the scerg may have been summoned in some twisted way, creating the first of a wretched creature that predates upon anything that arrives, though is particularly a scavenger. After all- an attempt by a soul to gain a body to get revenge only resulted in an abomination.
Always standing at the size of four feet tall and six feet long, the stench of rotting flesh rids them of many capabilities they would have had- extremely fragile in bodily nature, considering the fact that they're virtually nothing but skin and bones, though they scare off anything that tends to get near them with the putrid smell.
Most likely first created by a wizard as a sort of twisted familiar, soon transforming into a being capable of reproducing using some sort of asexual reproduction- as long as there are murdered souls, more braearks can be made. They can't fly, but act as pack predators similar to wolves, attacking anything that they can ambush with their beaks- primarily passive creatures, though they go into a maddened frenzy when 'hungry'.
They have no gender, and are probably of an inferior intelligence to humans, with virtually nothing on their mind other than 'kill kill kill'. They're extremely lightweight and fast due to the fact that there's no skin to weigh them down, and are capable of regenerating smashed bones so long as their skull isn't fractured.
Roam the areas of the scergs, and often created as companions for the scergs. Around the massive scerg underworld and capital cities, these creatures can be found, reluctantly protecting their master? homes.
Because they are dead, they do not die of old age, but die when killed by their opponent. They cannot speak, telepathically or physically.
